Managing student accounts on EA

Teachers are able to quickly and easily create new student accounts, edit their details, and shuffle them into different classes.

Adding a student account

Click on the class you would like to add the student to.

From here, click the + icon at the bottom of the page or Edit/Add and then Add Students.

Click Create New Student(s) to create new student accounts, click Add Existing Student(s) to add existing students to the class or Rollover XXXX (Students) to add students from the previous year to the class.

When you click Create New Student(s), you will be asked to enter the number of students you would like to add. Type in the number and click Next.

Enter the students' details and click Create Student(s). You will need to ensure that the student ID is a unique number for each student.

Adding a student to multiple classes

Click into any class that the student is already enrolled in, click Edit/Add and then Edit Class.

Click the + icon. From here, tick the classes you would like to add the student to and then click SAVE.

If you have reached your subscription limit, you will need to contact us to add to your subscription. You can check the number of subscriptions you have under via the cog wheel at the top of your page. More information can be located here.

Editing a student account

Click into a class with the student, hover over the three dots and click Edit Student.

Here you can edit the following information:

  • Students Name
  • Students ID
  • Username
  • Password
  • Year Level
  • Class(s) Student Belongs To
  • Refresh Parent Pin
  • Reset assessment ranges to default

Click SAVE CHANGES once you are happy with the details you have edited.

When changing a student's classes under Class(s) Student Belongs To, they must still remain in one class. If you wish to fully remove them from all classes, you must delete the student.

Delete a student account

Click into a class with the student, hover over the three dots and click Delete Student. Click YES to confirm the deletion of the student account.

Before deleting the student, we recommend exporting the student report as a PDF so you can keep a record of their assessments.

Restore a student account

To restore a deleted student account, you will need to click into a class the student was in. From here, click the trash icon.

From here, click RESTORE.

Deleted students will remain on the system for a period of time. If you need to retrieve the student, please get in touch with us at info@essentialassessment.com.au for assistance.

Transfer student data

Student data can be transferred between schools if a student moves to a new school. To transfer student data, we must have consent from both schools. Contact info@essentialassessment.com.au to organise the transfer.

Export Student List

You can export a list of all the students that are currently active in your school. To do this, click the cog wheel.

Click Export Student List.
