Managing students' login details
Each student account on Essential Assessment is equipped with its own unique set of login credentials. Educator accounts have the capability to modify, update, and export student passwords when required.
Resetting Student Passwords
Click on the class that you would like reset student login details for.
Click Edit/Add.
From here, click Edit Class:
Under PASSWORD, you will be able to see a list of all students' current passwords. If you would like to update them, just click on the box and type the new password. Once you have entered the new password, click SAVE.
Alternatively, if you would like to do this just for an individual student, you can also select on their name from the class view:

Password Requirements
A minimum password length of 8 characters, using letters, numbers and the following special characters ($ ! @ # % & _ -) is required for all student accounts.
When creating students manually, uploading students through the class upload function, or editing existing accounts, you will need to choose a password of this length. If the password field is left blank, one will be generated by the system.
Downloading Student Passwords
Login credential lists are downloadable in multiple formats. After clicking on your class, select Student Login Details.
The PDF Version and XLSX Version pertain to login credentials in the selected class. Selecting Whole School XLSX Version will download all student passwords at your school.
QR code logins
Student accounts are able to be accessed via QR codes. Within the PDF version download under Student Login Details, you can download QR codes for each student, which can be utilised as a login in place of a username/password.
A document will be downloaded including the QR codes on top of the standard login codes.
Students can scan their unique QR code to gain instant access to their account.
