Educator Profiles on Essential Assessment
Your Educator Profile is the only way to access your school's Essential Assessment account. These utilise your school email address and a unique password which you choose yourself.
Creating a login
When your email is added to the system by another educator, you will receive a Welcome to Essential Assessment email. Click the Set your password button in the email.
A password must be a minimum of 8 characters in length and contain uppercase, lowercase letters and numbers.
After setting your password, your profile will automatically be created.
Resetting your password
When a password is entered incorrectly, the Reset Password button will appear alongside the Incorrect Password error message.
This will send a password recovery link to the email address associated with the account.
Accessing the Educator Profiles menu
You can view all Educators set up at your school. Once logged in, load the classes page by clicking Online Assessment.
Click the Cog Wheel at the top right of your account and select Educator Profiles.
From here, you can scroll through the list of teachers set up at your school, create new users, and remove them if required.
Schools with administrator defaults enabled will need to contact their EA Administrator in order to add or remove educator profiles.
Creating a login for other teachers
Any teacher with an Educator Profile can create others on their account. Press the plus icon in the bottom right to create a new account. From here, fill in the required details. A welcome email will be sent to the teacher, prompting them to access EA and set a password.
The age range to teach is optional information and will not affect any capabilities on EA.
Editing or removing profiles
You can edit your own details or other teacher's details once logged into EA. You can also remove accounts entirely if teachers no longer work at your school. Hover over an educator and select Edit Educator or Remove Educator.
Once an educator's profile is removed, it cannot be restored.
Uploading educator logins in bulk
Educator Profiles can also be imported into EA through a CSV by tapping the icon in the bottom right.
If uploaded in the correct format, the profiles will be created instantly.
