How do I set up an educator account?

Your educator login is the only way to access your school's Essential Assessment account. These utilise your school email address and a unique password which you choose yourself.

Creating your login

If your email address is already linked to EA, you can attempt to log in with it to set up your educator account.

You will automatically be prompted to set a password.

Your individual educator login is the only way to access your school's account. All capabilities and access to school data remain the same as the previously utilised shared login.

If your email is not recognised, please reach out to another teacher at your school and ask them to set you up. If no staff at your school have educator logins yet, please contact info@essentialassessment.com.au and our Support team will assist you further.

Resetting your password

When a password is entered incorrectly, the Reset Password button will appear alongside the Incorrect Password error message.

This will send a password recovery link to the email address associated with the account.

Creating a login for other teachers

Any teacher with an educator account can create others on their account. Once logged in, load the classes page by clicking Online Assessment.

Click the Cog Wheel at the top right of your account.

Click View/Add Educator Profiles to manage the educator accounts at your school.

Press the plus icon in the bottom right to create a new account. From here, fill in the required details. A welcome email will be sent to the teacher, prompting them to access EA and set a password.

The age range to teach is optional information and will not affect any capabilities on EA.

Uploading educator logins in bulk

Educator accounts can also be imported into EA through a CSV by tapping the icon in the bottom right.

If uploaded in the correct format, the accounts will be created instantly.

Editing or removing accounts

You can edit your own details or other teacher's details once logged into EA. You can also remove accounts entirely if teachers no longer work at your school. Hover over an educator and select Edit Educator or Remove Educator.

Once an educator's profile is removed, it cannot be restored.
