Learning Goals overview

Learning Goals will reflect what the student already understands, represented by yellow stars. Non-coloured stars will appear against the content descriptors the student misunderstood. This allows students to work through their formative activities (INLP/ILLP) and colour in the stars as they master the skill and knowledge of previously misunderstood content descriptors.

Each content descriptor that was tested in the pre-assessment will appear on the Learning Goals. Each content descriptor requires a student to understand the knowledge and skills attached to it through the four proficiencies. For Mathematics, these are Understanding, Reasoning, Problem solving, and Fluency. For English, Reading and Viewing, these are Comprehension, Text Structure, Language Features and Language Conventions. For Writing, these are, Pre-writing, Structuring Texts, Using Language, Editing and Revising.
