resources, paper, printing, printable, print, instructional, offline resources

If you:

  • Are working toward reduced screen-time targets

  • Just want more screen-free moments in your classroom.

  • Want a backup option for days when devices or internet access are unreliable.

  • A student demonstrates their understanding more accurately on paper than on-screen.

  • Want a physical copy of an assessment or resource for parents, students or your classroom wall.

Quick Reference: Which Resource and When

Printable Paper-based Assessments

  • Use for a formal, offline check of student achievement — strand assessments and flexi assessments can both be printed.

  • Download the Questions set for students to complete, or the Answers set as a marking key for you or a relief teacher.

You can see detailed steps on how to download and enter our paper-based resources here: Printing paper-based assessments on Essential Assessment

Printable Worksheets

  • Use as the paper equivalent of My Numeracy / My Literacy online activities — same curriculum alignment, offline format.

  • Well suited to homework, independent practice stations, small-group work, or students who benefit from repeated paper-based practice.

  • Print with answers for self-checking or independent learning or without answers to allow opportunity for teacher review.

Please see the following help article on how you can download Worksheets: How can I find worksheets?

Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)

  • Use when you want truly individualised next steps. An ILP is generated automatically from a student's most recent assessment data.

  • Combines consolidation questions at the student's current level with questions targeting their next level of achievement.

  • Best used one-on-one: for targeted intervention, take-home consolidation work, or parent-teacher conferences.

  • Includes Learning Goals and Personalised worksheets.

See the following help article for more information on how to download Individual Learning Plans: Individual Learning Plan (ILP)

Learning Goals

  • Used to make a student's progress visible and motivating, in plain, printable form.

  • Great for goal-setting conversations, student-led conferences, or celebrating progress on a classroom display.

  • Available per student, or exported for a whole class at once when you want to save time.

‘I Can’ Statements

  • Use when you want students themselves — not just you — tracking their own progress, in student-friendly language.

  • Builds independence over time and works well in portfolios, reflection routines, or goal-tracking folders.

  • An alternative export of the same Learning Goals data, framed from the student's point of view.

You can view the following help article on how to download ‘I Can’ Statements.

Optimal Curriculum Path

  • Use for whole-class or small-group planning after a pre-assessment, when several students share the same misconceptions.

  • Groups students by misconception and generates matched worksheets and learning plans for each group automatically.

  • Saves planning time versus building differentiated groupings and resources manually. Available from My Numeracy or Z.P.D. view.
