Can I group students by level of achievement?

The Groups function allows you to group students by their level of achievement at a strand, sub-strand or topic understanding based on your selection criteria.

The Groups function is best used when you would like to create fluid groupings. This means you can create a particular group to target specific students for a time period or topic you are currently working on.

Once you are finished working with that group, you can delete it if no longer required. You won't lose data that was created in the group, as it will remain in the students' home group with their data.

To create a group, click on GROUPS within the Online Assessment tab.

From here, click the + icon on the top right-hand side of the page.

Input your name and then click Create.

Click on the newly created profile and click the + icon to create your group.

Choose your search criteria and click Create.

Your newly created group will then appear under the CREATED GROUPS header.

Students are grouped based on the search criteria. Students who do not fit the search criteria are unable to be manually added to the group. We recommend making the search criteria wider if in doubt, as you are able to delete students from the group, but you cannot add them. Students who complete an assessment at a later date and meet the search criteria of current groups will be automatically added.

Click on View Students In Group to see which students have been grouped. You can also view the A.S.R, Z.P.D and C.D for your group.

Click into the A.S.R, Z.P.D, or C.D to be taken to a results overview. From here, you can choose to show/hide students by clicking Modify Group.

You're able to assign My Numeracy or My Literacy activities (dependent on what subject you have chosen for your group) by clicking into the relevant header and clicking the + icon for an individual student or all students.

Click Export Options in the top-right hand corner of the page to export a copy of the data.
